Correct. They're microwave horn antennas with direct-coupled magnetrons (no waveguide included). Since he has two, they likely came from somebody's local 2-way datacomm app.
(If the two "narrow" sides were parallel instead of just almost, they would be sectoral horns [in an industry that has a very clear definition of the term]).
